Tagcow is a newly launched photo tagging service that is generating a lot of buzz for the way it categorizes photos, allowing people to quickly find their favorite images of family members, pets, natural landmarks and more. Basically, it makes massive numbers of photos housed on Flickr or in a personal photo folder easily searchable by what appears in the photo.

Search Engine wielding un-evil empire builder Google has announced that, from today, Google Docs will start to roll out off-line functionality.The MS Office-baiting suite of applications has, until now, been in the exclusive domain of the online community. But a post on the official Gogglebog by software engineer Janani Ravi makes it clear that the connection is about to be severed. To make it work you’ll need to install the Google Gears plug-in, but apart from that it’s exactly the same. Any changes made to documents whilst offline will be updated next time you connect to the Internet.

Search engine giant Google this week launched an iPhone interface for the company’s Picasa photo service. IPhone and iPod Touch users who go to the Picasa Web site via the Apple gadgets’ Safari Web browser are automatically switched to the new interface. After logging in, they can see their photo albums, and drill down to get a full view of pictures, Google said. Picasa’s slideshow feature has also been optimized for the devices.
